We are very proud of our school which is made up of many young people and adults that give so much of themselves. Our great success is due to God’s generosity and our very committed community.

We welcome you to visit our web site and our school to share all the great things that are happening here at St. Philip Neri School. You might even consider joining us full-time. It is our constant mission to “Be and bring Good News to the world.” Do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of service.

Ms. Mary Lou Piazza – School Principal

Welcome to our school website. As you will see as you examine our site, St. Philip Neri School is a vital part of the mission of providing quality education in the South Shore community. We hope you will come and visit our excellent school and learn more about us. Please give us a call if you would like to come for a tour.

I have been privileged to be principal here since 1996. I look forward to serving as principal for the 2008-2009 school term. We have a fine staff of dedicated teachers and support staff who considers your child’s development their primary concern. We strive to maintain a Catholic-Christian atmosphere where God-centered living, mutual respect, and excellence in academics are emphasized daily.

Please give us a call if you have any questions or suggestions. Our school secretary, Mrs. Dunbar, or I will gladly assist you.

Rev. Tom Belanger

Greetings and welcome to the spirit-filled school community of St. Philip Neri. I am honored to have been offered the opportunity by the Archdiocese of Chicago and Fr. Duris, to serve as a newly ordained Catholic priest in Chicago’s South Shore Community. I am a native Detroiter who truly appreciates discovering new cultures and traditions that enrich not only my faith, but also my world perspective.

Currently, I coordinate a new curriculum designed for the Catholic Students in our school’s 4th – 6th grades. It is entitled the Catholic Club. The objective of the program is to engage the students’ faith with learning and real hands-on community outreach and service projects. Hopefully, they will discover that faith without works is nothing more than words. As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, “If we are to go forward, we must go back and rediscover those precious values – that all reality hinges on moral foundations, and that all reality has spiritual control.” St. Philip Neri School is a vibrant, educational and faith based community that is preparing young people to go forward in their lives. May God bless them, this community and you, and thank you for visiting our school website.
